Help on Copper (HG)
High Grade Copper Futures are traded on the COMEX Exchange. The
price of Copper is quoted in cents per pound. The standard contract
size is 25,000 pounds. The minimum trading increment is a 0.01
cents.
Copper prices are read as follows:
A price of 71.75 would be read as $0.7175 per pound or 71.75
cents per pound.
A move from 71.75 to 72.75 would be a difference of $250.00 excluding
commissions and fees. The minimum change is 0. 1 cent or $2.50
Formula: $0.7275 - $0.7175 = $0.010 *25,000 = $250.00
