Help on Natural Gas (NG)
Natural Gas Futures are traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
The price of Natural Gas is quoted in dollars per million metric
British Thermal Units (mm btu). The standard contract size is
10,000 mm btu. The minimum trading increment is 1 cent.
Natural Gas prices are read as follows:
A price of 23.94 would be read as $23.94 per mm btu
A move from 23.94 to 24.04 would be a difference of $100.00 excluding
commissions and fees. The minimum change is 1 cent or $10.00
Formula: $24.04 - $23.94= $0.10 *1,000 = $100.00
