Help on Silver (SI)
Comex Silver Futures are traded on the COMEX Exchange. The price
of Silver is quoted in cents per troy ounce. The standard contract
size is 5,000 troy ounces. The minimum trading increment is a
0.01 cents.
Silver prices are read as follows:
A price of 512.1 would be read as $5.121 per troy ounce or 512.1
cents per troy ounce.
A move from 512.1 to 513.1 would be a difference of $50.00 excluding
commissions and fees. The minimum change is 0.1 cent or $5.00
Formula: $5.131 - $5.121 = $0.010 *5,000 = $50.00
